Social Contribution Activities

We have decided to lease a plot of land in the Miike-Ginsui area (Omuta, Fukuoka prefecture) to Mitsui Fudosan for the purpose of generating solar power. As the Miike area has long hours of daylight and there are no tall buildings in the vicinity, it is expected to be ideally suited to stable solar power generation. Power will start to be generated during the latter half of 2014, with a projected output of approximately 6MW (megawatts). That will be enough to supply power to around 1,800 homes.
As well as making effective use of company-owned land, this venture will also help to promote sustainable energy.
